Editorial policy
How the pages of tornito.org are written: where the figures come from, what we say about metals and piercings, and what we leave to a piercer.
Every page here is written by us about our own sets. The numbers on it, gauges, bar lengths, pair counts and prices, come from the data we hold on each set and from our last catalog update.
Metals and skin
Where a page says a set is hypoallergenic, nickel free or lead free, that is the brand's own statement about that set, printed as the brand gives it. Where a page says what a public body or a professional association advises about metals and piercings, it names that body, and the pages we read are listed with the date on our price and source page.
We do not tell anyone which jewelry to put in a fresh piercing. The Association of Professional Piercers sets out what belongs in one, and that choice belongs to the piercer who did it. Our sets are for healed piercings.
Photographs
Product photographs are the brand's own. We leave out any frame with a caption or a size chart printed into the picture, so what you see is the piece.

If a figure on a page is wrong, write to earstack@tornito.org and we fix it at the next update.
